LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - My Leadership Journey

Connect2Experience’s My Leadership Journey is an experiential learning and development programme aimed at personal growth as a leader. Your journey combines opportunities for enhancing skills and learning new ones. You will gain knowledge of leadership theories and models, but above all will focus on understanding your behaviour and personal leadership impact within the teams that you lead.

The programme will be of value to you if you are:

  • a leader who wants to grow
  • a newly appointed leader
  • a leader who wants to transition and prepare for a different kind of role

The purpose of the programme is to provide 3 different leadership landscapes for you to travel through and different lenses for you to view these landscapes. The same lenses can also be used to view how others travel and what you can learn from your fellow travellers. You will all be encouraged to practice the arts of deep listening, giving feedback and asking powerful questions that will ensure you get the most you can from your journey!

The 3 landscapes brought into focus will be:

  1. The independent traveller’s road: you as an individual on your personal learning quest and the discoveries that will enhance your leadership
  2. The communities you will meet and connect with: to help you in assessing the contribution you make to communities you may belong to and what this says about teams
  3. The culture we inspire as we travel: what contribution you make to the workplace culture and how does that impact and inspire others.

By joining this 2-module experiential learning journey, where you will have the opportunity to interact in English and/or Dutch, you will benefit from:

  • continuous personal feedback and insights for further development
  • a safe space to experiment with newly learned or modified behaviours
  • opportunities to work with others on current and real-life challenges
  • developing your skills and building your leadership backpack
  • six hours of personal coaching and support to get to your next destination

The programme flow of My Leadership Journey is as follows:

Want to get on board?  To prepare you will need to

  • complete a registration form
  • create a short personal profile and possibly do a psychometric test
  • have a 30 mins call with one of the programme faculty who will ask a few simple questions
  • have a 1-1 coaching session with your designated coach to determine your personal learning goals

Following the flow diagram, your journey will look like this…….

  • 5-6 weeks before the start of Module I: the Intake takes place and you will asked to complete some preparation
  • Within 2 weeks before the start of Module I: the 1st one-to-one coaching session takes place
  • Attend Module I: 2  days
  • Between Module I and Module II there will be 8-10 weeks (dependent on the time of year), in which 2 times a ‘Peer Re-Connect’ and the 2nd one-to-one coaching session take place
  • Attend Module II: 2 days
  • Within 2 weeks after completion of Module II: the 3rd one-to-one coaching session and final reflection and review take place
